About Our Club
The Vette Set: "An organization which will promote,
encourage, foster, and cultivate the preservation, ownership,
and operation of Corvette sports cars. To that end, we will
establish an organized effort to encourage others to participate
in the ownership and enjoyment connected with the use of Corvette
automobiles. We will, therefore, hold meetings, affairs, rendezvous
and other gatherings, public or private, to further that purpose."
The Vette Set, Inc. is a non-profit
organization. All income beyond normal club
operating expenses are donated to charitable organizations.
We are a car club devoted to friendship, fellowship, and the
pursuit of enjoyment of our Corvettes. Our club is based in
the South Bay area of Los Angeles, CA and is sponsored by Cormier
Chevrolet.
Our regular club
meeting is held at Cormier Chevrolet on the first Thursday of every month.
The club generally has an activities meeting on the 3rd
Wednesday evening each month, as well as another club
organized or supported event each month. Guests are
welcome to attend any and all of The Vette Set club meeting and/or activities.
See the activities page or contact us (link below) for more
information.
History
The Vette Set was formed in 1965. The club has
been active ever since. As of March of 2005 there are
110 members of The Vette Set.
The objective of The Vette Set is not focused on growing in overall
membership. More important to Vette Set members is
having members who actively participate and organize events
for the club.
The Vette Set has a history of being a very active Corvette
Club, and we welcome members who can bring new thoughts and
ideas to expand our activities.
Future Goals
Our future is like our past: Continue to be
recognized as one of the best Corvette Clubs in Southern
California!
